5 wonderful ways to use scented candles at your wedding

Weddings are back and bigger than ever! With the industry being one of the hardest hit during the pandemic, it's safe to say that this year is set to be one of the biggest for weddings. We probably all know at least one couple set to tie the knot this year, so naturally we've been thinking about all the wonderful ways that candles can be used to help make the big day even more special.

Here are 5 wonderful ways to use candles at your wedding:

1. At the ceremony

Using candles at a wedding is the perfect way to create a beautiful ambience and romantic scene. Candlelight adds to the sense of romance, as well as helping to provide beautiful lighting (the photographer will thank you for it!). Candles can be a great way to frame a space at a ceremony. If your venue has steps, stairs or a mantelpiece, candles can really help make a feature and create wonderful spaces to take those special photos. We recommend building up little collections of different shapes to highlight a feature that makes your venue special. Mix unscented and scented candles to give off that subtle fragrance throughout the space. Discover our collection of scented here - we think they will do just the job!

2. Within Centrepieces

Styles of wedding centrepieces have changed over recent years but they are still very much considered a focal point in the room. Previously a source of stress, why not take the opportunity to feature a to set the tone of your wedding breakfast? You could always try and use some vibrant, candles to add an injection of colour if the rest of the table is more simple in style

3. Seating

Why not use candles to help guests find their seating? Use candles around the plan board to help guests find their place. You could also use our , as well as place settings. They could also double up as a wedding favours - we all know that choosing the right gift can be a really nice addition to your guests experience. At 75g, our are perfect little gifts that wont break the bank. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love something with their initial on? These little beauties are packed with heaps of fragrance and have a burn time of around 18 hours.

4. Scent the space

It’s well-known that scents have the power to trigger emotions and memories. We love the idea of filling a venue with a signature scent. In years to come, we know that any time you smell that same fragrance, it will remind you (and your guests) of the special day. If you are looking for a way to softly fragrance a space or have a smaller venue, scented reed diffusers are also a great option.

5. Lighting for evening

When the night draws in, using candles to provide lighting is beautiful (and useful too!). Maybe lining pathways, food areas or darker areas to incorporate into evening festivities. We love the idea of dotting some personalised candles around, meaning that wherever they are placed, they will fit into the theme of the day you have worked so hard to create.

Whichever way you choose to incorporate candles into your wedding day, we know they will be a great addition!

Hello, we have just built a house in Adlington up near Macclesfield, and whilst we were building, I came and stayed with family in Haslemere, they took me to your shop and I instantly fell in love with the products. My husband and I had to name our property and as it was slightly lower than the house next door(as we’re on a hill) and our house is more of a dorma bungalow style. We couldn’t think of a name and then I suddenly thought of Lower Lodge!!!! So that is what we called it. Now I have candles from your shop but I was wondering if you had any with the name printed on the jar? Just a nice thought to have Lower Lodge displayed on the candles. Could you lmk if you do have any printed with the name.
    Many thanks.

    Lizzie
